The Watch Ashore in Burton and Derby
Although not a sea port Merchant Navy wives in the area of Burton and Derby wanted to start a branch of The Watch Ashore, whihc they did in 1978.
The branch never had large numbers of members but this branch still supported RNLI, Mission to Seamen and Sea Sunday as well as other sea charities.
The branch is now closed.
